Arlene is award winning fiber artist from Washington State with a studio on Breckenridge, overlooking the Grays Harbor Estuary.
1982-1984 Arlene studied at the Basketry School in Seattle. In 1998 a twelve piece collection was chosen for the Washington State Centennial Exhibit at the Ocean Shores Convention Center.
Arlene has exhibited in coastal galleries in Oregon and Washington.
In 2014 Arlene was honored with a Martha Steward American Made Nomination. She continued studying art and design with Eric Sandgren at Grays Harbor College. Finishing with a degree in digital design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2009.
Arlene opened her business “Artistry in Fiber” a fiber arts studio in 2010. I have been a fiber artist and designer for over fifty years, my work is bio-phlic, meaning that my designs connect people with nature, in the interior and exterior of their homes and workplaces.
