Mawhitiwhiti Patterns and Woven Bags
In New Zealand Maori weaving mawhitiwhitu is the diversion of the whenu, or warp threads from the vertical to create different patterns. This booklet contains instructions on how to weave many mawhitiwhiti patterns and how to create some different styles of bags incorporating the use of mawhitiwhiti. It is designed to be used by those with a basic knowledge of weaving techniques.
